Branch Manager Joseph D. Vistad., P.E.
Joseph D. Vistad., P.E., serves as the Branch Manager at Building & Earth’s Springdale, AR, office. With well over a decade of experience in geotechnical engineering, construction testing, special inspections, and environmental consulting, he has consulted on projects large and small throughout the Midwest and Southeast, from North Dakota to Texas, and Wyoming to North Carolina. Joseph’s projects have spanned a wide variety of market sectors serving wind and solar energy, oil and gas, large industrial, commercial, and retail clients, among others.
In the beginning of his career, Joseph concentrated his work in the upper great plains before coming to Building & Earth as a project manager in the Tulsa, OK, office in 2016. Over his tenure, Joseph has served in many roles ranging from field and laboratory testing to project management, senior engineering, mentoring of junior staff, and branch management. Since 2023, he has been honored to serve as a principal.
Growing up in Northern North Dakota, Joseph spent the early part of his life farming in before continuing on to earn both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of North Dakota. In his spare time, Joseph enjoys time with family, riding his motorcycle throughout the Ozarks in beautiful Northwest Arkansas, landscape photography, and attending cultural events, such as the symphony and musical theater.
