Building Our Nation’s Infrastructure
A 72-Year-Old Pump Station in Louisville, Kentucky Gets Extensive Upgrades
We are helping to build the nation’s infrastructure.
Ths year our team in Louisville, KY, kicked off Special Inspections for Phase II of the Paddy’s Run Flood Pump Station Capacity Upgrade.
The Pump Station Upgrade is a critical infrastructure project aimed at enhancing Louisville’s flood protection system. Developed by the Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD), the $230 million project is a significant investment in the region’s infrastructure.
The original station, constructed in 1953, has been serving the community for decades. However, due to its age and the increasing frequency of severe weather events, the station’s capacity needed to be expanded to ensure continued protection for the city’s residents. The upgrade involves replacing the existing facility with a state-of-the-art pump station.
Building & Earth is currently providing comprehensive ICC Special Inspection services throughout the construction phase.
