Paddy’s Run Flood Pump Station Capacity Upgrade (Phase II)

Performing Special Inspections in Louisville, KY at Paddy's Run Flood Station

Project Summary

The Paddy’s Run Flood Pump Station Capacity Upgrade (Phase II) is a critical infrastructure project aimed at enhancing Louisville’s flood protection system. Developed by the Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD), the $230 million project is a significant investment in the region’s infrastructure.

The original station, constructed in 1953, has been serving the community for decades. However, due to its age and the increasing frequency of severe weather events, the station’s capacity needed to be expanded to ensure continued protection for the city’s residents. The upgrade involves replacing the existing facility with a state-of-the-art pump station.

Building & Earth is currently providing comprehensive ICC Special Inspection services throughout the construction phase.
