What Columbus Has to Offer

Interested in pursuing career opportunities with Building & Earth’s Columbus location? You’ve made the right choice! Columbus is the third largest city in Georgia and the fourth largest metropolitan area, which boasts a population of 303,811.

The city is situated on the Chattahoochee River, and hosts the longest urban whitewater course in the world. Whitewater rafting not your thing? Make sure to visit the National Infantry Museum, where you can experience more than 200 years of history of the United States Infantry. Fun fact: the city is just north of Fort Benning. Don’t forget to make time for the Coca-Cola Space Science Center and the Omnisphere Planetarium. Fun fact #2: Coca-Cola was actually invented in Columbus more than a century ago. Columbus is also the home to Columbus State University, a major regional center of higher education.

If you’re more into exploring the arts, Columbus has something for you, too. The city has many options for getting in touch with your creative side, including the State Theatre of Georgia, the Columbus Museum, the Springer Opera House, and the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts.
